There is more than enough

Scripture:

‭2 Kings 4:42-44 ESV‬‬

[42] A man came from Baal-shalishah, bringing the man of God bread of the first fruits, twenty loaves of barley, and fresh ears of grain in his sack. And Elisha said, “Give to the men that they may eat.” [43] But his servant said, “How can I set this before a hundred men?” So he repeated, “Give them to the men, that they may eat, for thus says the Lord, ‘They shall eat and have some left.’” [44] So he set it before them. And they ate and had some left, according to the word of the Lord.

Observation:

Supplies were brought from Baal-shalishah. Bread and grain. Hallelujah men, it’s time to e…a…t. Elisha’s servant was not convinced that there was enough to set before the men. Elisha gave instructions to place it before them, and GOD would make sure they would have enough. Not only would there be enough, but they would have some left over. There was a trust in what the LORD had said. He said there would be enough and rest assured there was. I think one of the keys here is the word first fruits. It brings my mind to a scripture about tithing. Bringing your full tithe to the storehouse sets a supernatural spiritual principle in motion. Trusting GOD with the money HE lets you use opens the windows of more than enough. I could get into the application here, so maybe it’s time

Application:

I have been at a spot where it looked like there was not enough to make it through. Whether or not that was referring to food gas or whatever. I know what it means to just trust GOD and know that HE will make sure you have what you need. there is a spiritual principle that GOD releases when our trust is placed in HIM. HE  will come through. He will. I have seen it time and time again. Now, I must admit there have been times when it looked like I had wasted my time waiting on GOD only to see it come through right at the last minute but in a big way. I can tell you this much. My heavenly FATHER  has never disappointed me, and there has always been more than enough.

Prayer:

Father, you are my provider. You have always taken care of me. I know sometimes it’s not easy to see. However, you have always come through, and it’s always been more than I needed. When it starts to look like we are not going to make it, Father remind us that you will not leave us begging for bread. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray amen
