THERE IS NO IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD!!

Scripture:

Exodus 14:10-14 ESV‬

[10] When Pharaoh drew near, the people of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them, and they feared greatly. And the people of Israel cried out to the Lord. [11] They said to Moses, “Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? What have you done to us in bringing us out of Egypt? [12] Is not this what we said to you in Egypt: ‘Leave us alone that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.” [13] And Moses said to the people, “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. [14] The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”

Observation:

I struggled with what to write about this morning. There is a lot going on in life right now. But GOD brought me to this scripture. So let’s take a look. Moses had just brought the Israelites out of Egypt. They have been following a cloud and a flame for a few days when they came to the edge of the Red Sea. As they stood there gathering their thoughts and probably wondering what to do next. In the distance, they saw Pharaoh approaching and panic set in. Fear over took them, and they cried out to the LORD. However, in the very next breath, they started doubting that Moses knew what he was doing. Questioning him as to why he brought them to this trap. Mountains all around the Red Sea in front of them and their enemy quickly approached with bad intentions. The people were looking at the army that approached not the GOD who had brought them out of captivity, and thinking captivity was a better place than being dead at the edge of the Sea. Things looked impossible. It looked like they had nowhere to go. As they pointed their finger at Moses and blamed all this on him. He looked to the LORD. Doing his best to calm the people and reasure them that this is not over… GOD did not bring them out here to die. Fear is not for you. Trust that HE will fight for you. The enemy you see will be destroyed. Never to be seen again. I’m sure this all sounded good to the people, but the evidence looked like death was the only answer. We all know the end of this story. The LORD instructed Moses to step up to the edge of the sea and put his staff in the air… the sea opened up, and they walked across on dry ground. When the Egyptians tried to do the same, the sea closed in on them. Never to be seen again.

Application:

GOD works best in impossible circumstances. That’s when HE gets the utmost glory. I want to encourage you this morning. HE sees you and what you face. HE knows just what it’s going to take for victory, and HE has brought you to just the right place to obtain it. It’s not over, no matter what it looks like. There is a highway a road of a passage that you can’t see. HE is building your trust. HE did not bring you to it, not to get you through it. HE will require you to do your part. But once you do, HE will do HIS. The question is, do you trust HIM. Can you step to the edge not seeing what’s next. But knowing there is a next. Faith is believing something you can’t see. So much so that you take action even though what you believe looks absolutely crazy and everyone around you is looking at you like “THIS GUY.” ” Who does he think he is?” Do you trust GOD for the impossible? HE is only limited by your thinking. Stepping up to the edge of the water and putting his staff in the air was something Moses could do something natural… and when he did, GOD met his natural actions with HIS supper… and something supernatural happened. HE is the GOD of the impossible. We need to always remember that. If you are looking at something that is too much for you. Honestly, it probably is… but I know a GOD that can do anything HE wants to. Don’t limit HIM. Don’t put HIM in a box.

Prayer:

Father, you are able. As we read your word, we know that you are the same today that you were back then… and if you did it before, you will do it again. Help us not limit you. We know who you are. Help us to believe in the impossible. We trust that you did not bring us out of addiction and sin to kill us off at the first sing of a fight. We trust this fight is not ours. The battle belongs to you… the victory is ours it makes no sense. But it’s how you do things. We want to live for your glory. So we stand here with our staff in the air. Ready for your supernatural salvation. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray amen.
