[34] But the Lord said to Moses, “Do not fear him, for I have given him into your hand, and all his people, and his land. And you shall do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon.” [35] So they defeated him and his sons and all his people, until he had no survivor left. And they possessed his land.
GOD is starting to give HIS people a place to call home. They have won some victories (by the hand of GOD of course) and have built a little confidence. Then along comes this king and for some reason, YAHWEH feels the need to tell Moses not to fear him. Maybe they were tired from battle, maybe this king was what looked like an easy target or maybe GOD just wanted to prove a point. To be honest none of that matters. What matters is what GOD said. DO NOT FEAR him I have given him into your hands. You will do to him as you have done to the last king. GOD had already given HIS people victory. They only needed to take it.
One problem after the next. How many times have you been in a spiritual battle and it just seems to keep coming? You gain victory over here but then here comes something else. You are tired worn out and you just don’t know if you have another fight in you. GOD’s not done. Get up don’t be afraid remember WHO is fighting for you! Grab your sword (the word) and get in there. The battle is yours. Press on and win. This is a hard time of year for a lot of people GOD has given you a heavenly family that will put on their armor and lock shields with you but you have to reach out to them the victory has already been given you just have to take it. I don’t know who needed to hear that but someone other than me (yet including me) needed to hear that you are not alone.
Father, the battle is already won. Let us walk in it you have spoken victory over us. Let us take it. All those things that just keep on coming are only more opportunities for you to have glory. We are not alone your word tells us that you have not left us nor will you forget about us. It may feel like the battle just keeps on coming. But when you say fight we fight. Father, right now I pray that depression has no place among your people’s, loneliness has no place among your people, addictions, have no place among your people, a Jezebel spirit has no place among your people, and I claim victory over anxiety, fear, and any suicidal thoughts that may be trying to destroy those whom you have brought out of Egypt. You did not bring us out to fall in the wilderness. You brought us out to give us victory. Let us walk in it mental health issues you you no place among GOD’s people speak this with me… you must go in the mighty name of Jesus you can not stay the darkness must flee in the presence of the light Jesus Christ is the light and HE is here with you.thank you Father for the victory through Jesus and it’s in HIS mighty name I pray amen.
