Wait, What does the Lord have to say about that?

Scripture:

‭Numbers‬ ‭9:7‭-‬10‬ ‭ESV‬‬

[7] And those men said to him, “We are unclean through touching a dead body. Why are we kept from bringing the Lord’s offering at its appointed time among the people of Israel?” [8] And Moses said to them, “Wait, that I may hear what the Lord will command concerning you.” [9] The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, [10] “Speak to the people of Israel, saying, If any one of you or your descendants is unclean through touching a dead body, or is on a long journey, he shall still keep the Passover to the Lord.

Observation:

It was Passover time and these men were concerned. They knew the laws and had just recently touched a dead body. They also knew how serious GOD was about Passover and did not want to find themselves being carried off and buried themselves. So they came to Moses and told him the situation. I honestly love the response Moses gave. WAIT let me find out what the LORD says about this. Moses goes to the LORD and the LORD tells him what should be done, and the men who were concerned still get to take part in the Passover.

Application:

All GOD wants is for us to talk to HIM. He is not looking to just strike us down. We just need to take our problems to HIM. Being wise about how we do things is important if we are not sure about our situation we probably should talk to someone a little more mature in their walk with Jesus than we are. However, I think it’s vital that we take everything to GOD. HE is a good father. There is an old saying and honestly, it’s in the Bible. Haste makes waste. We should take all our problems to GOD, and wait for an answer. Unfortunately, it’s harder not to do something than it is to do something. The problem is that’s when we find ourselves in a bad spot. GOD  honestly wants what is best for YOU, HE is not taking all your fun away. HE is trying to preserve your life. Speak about your issues with someone you trust who will take them to the LORD and find out what HE says. It may just save your life.

Prayer:

Father, good morning you didn’t sleep, but I just wanted to thank you for the rest you gave us. We come to you this morning because we want you involved in our day. We want our actions to reflect you. We know we fall short at times and we are not trying to hide that from you. We just want to thank you for the men and women you have placed around us. Brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ, whom we can go to and express our concern to, that will, in turn, talk to you about it and wait for what you have to say. Honestly Father I believe you have thought about everything. You have not left one thing out. So all we really have to say is thank you for your great love. It’s in the mighty name of Jesus I pray amen.
