Custom fit

Scripture:

‭Psalm 139:13-18 ESV‬‬

[13] For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. [14] I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. [15]  My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. [16] Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. [17] How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! [18]  If I would count them, they are more than the sand. I awake, and I am still with you.

Observation:

The desire Solomon had for wisdom was there for a reason. David was very wise as well. I honestly love the way he worshipped the LORD. He understood that GOD knew absolutely everything about him. All the way down to how he was made. Because HE was the one who not only placed him in his mother’s womb but stitched him together, I picture GOD as an artist. As David was being formed. I see HIM standing back thinking… Oh yes… he will need more courage… facing that giant won’t be easy… and I can’t forget to add a heart that chases after an attitude of repentance… and the has to be a true spirit of worship… and let me not forget humility. We can’t forget humility. David knew that every characteristic that he possessed was purposefully placed in his DNA. There was not one mistake made in how he was put together. The LORD thought very carefully about it and knew exactly how to make David so that he could accomplish HIS plan and purpose.

Application:

Let me encourage you this morning. I want you to know that the one who made heaven and earth made you as well. HE thought about you very carefully as HE put you together it was more than just a 9-month process. HE looked through time and saw the characteristics you would need to overcome all your difficulties. Then HE nit them into your DNA. GOD thinks about you. It’s no mistake that you are made the way you are. A perfect GOD does not make mistakes. We might, but HE doesn’t. The crazy thing is HE knew the mistakes we would make in our lifetime, and HE placed in us the ability to overcome them. So whatever you are facing… whatever is in your path… that thing that looks like a mountain… it’s just a rock. Pick it up toss it to the side and keep on moving. The LORD of heaven and earth made you to be an overcomer. Let’s tap into that. One more statement, and then we will pray. Fearfully and wonderfully made… when HE made you HE did not say… oh no… I should not have done that.. HE knew exactly what HE was doing. If we would tap into the potential that HE has placed into us, there is nothing we can not do. Nothing we could not overcome.

Prayer:

Father, how deep are your thoughts towards us? I sit in wonder this morning, knowing that the way I was made was no mistake. You placed me specifically in my mother’s womb. With my father’s seed to create a line of DNA, that would be like no other. Placing in me characteristics that are unique and custom fit for the specific path you have placed me on. You equipped me to overcome all of it. Seeing each victory before I ever faced them. Knowing when I would stumble and when I would not. You are truly amazing. You made each one of us… custom fit for your plan, and you have tucked us away for such a time as this. When the giants of addiction, depression, anxiety, and uncertainty would rise up, you placed smooth stones in our hands and said stand-up… I made you a warrior, not a coward. Absolutely breathtaking that’s what you are, father. You saw it all and knew exactly how to make us. So that all we could ever say is thank you. In the mighty name of Jesus… thank you. It’s in Jesus’s name. I pray, amen.
