It will change your live, if you live it!

Scripture:

‭Psalm 119:160-165 ESV‬‬

[160]  The sum of your word is truth, and every one of your righteous rules endures forever.  [161]  Princes persecute me without cause, but my heart stands in awe of your words. [162] I rejoice at your word like one who finds great spoil. [163] I hate and abhor falsehood, but I love your law. [164] Seven times a day, I praise you for your righteous rules. [165] Great peace have those who love your law; nothing can make them stumble.

Observation:

It was hard to focus on a few verses. Psalm 119 is 176 verses long, and I honestly wanted to write a SOAP  for the whole thing. I believe I found the foundation of it, however. So here we go. It’s another psalm that does not identify the author. I believe that is done intentionally. Sometimes, what is said is way more important than who said it. So let’s look at the first verse for today. The psalmist identified the fact that GOD’S word from front to back is truth. The sum of your Word is truth. He is not saying some of it is true, but that all of it is true. Collectively, when you sit down and go from front to back, all of GOD’S word is truth. Though he may be getting persecuted for believing that the psalmist is going to stand on truth anyway. Delighting in the law of the LORD. Over and over in Psalm 119, we see the psalmist express a love for GOD’S  commandments and a desire to follow them along with a teachable heart. Turning away from the flesh and meditating on what the LORD says in HIS word—thinking about it day and night. As I write this, I’m thinking about how amazing my heavenly father is. The final statement in today’s SOAP says so much that it can not be ignored, and honestly, it is most of my point.

Application:

I used to live my life in Kaos, running around trying to live according to the deeds and desires of my flesh. I had absolutely no peace. I always ended up hurting myself and others. I was totally broken. I had no guidance and thought what I wanted was the most important thing, literally, in a jail cell of my own making. I found a copy of GOD’S living word. I was 18 years old and on my way to prison. When I started reading it. I had no idea of the power within the pages. Today, I can’t put it down. GOD’S  living word has literally become my breath of life. I have found peace in the way HE has asked me to live. I realize HE is not trying to take away my fun, but give me new life. I know that it doesn’t matter what others say. But what HE thinks of me that matters. The LORD has never failed me, and I meditate on HIS word day and night. I love it. I have seen how living it has completely changed who I was into who HE made me to be. I have this same desire for you as well. If you have not experienced the transforming power of GOD’S  word. I’m asking you to just start reading it. This SOAP is a great starting point. Dive in… let HIM put your flesh to death and feed your spirit with the meat in HIS word. Fall in love with who HE is. HE is not trying to take something from you HE is wanting to give you a life you never thought you could have a life full of fruit. Starting with love.

Prayer:

Father, today I pray that you take this SOAP and spread it around to all who need it. Place it in all the corners of the earth. I pray that as people read it, their love for your word grows into a desire to live it and meditate on it so that their life can see the peace that comes from a life lived for you. I never would have thought that you would use a man like me. But you have found and woke up something in me I didn’t even know was there. I owe you my life. Keep my feet firmly on your path.i know it is the only way to true peace. Let me be a reflection of your son. It’s in the mighty name of Jesus I pray amen
